Primrose // Prymula, pierwiosnek

I bought this primrose a few days ago in a supermarket. In reality it's more lilac than blue. I'm going to replant it into my garden later - I hope it will flower next year again.

Kilka dni temu kupiłam tę prymulę w supermarkecie. W rzeczywistości jest bardziej fioletowa niż niebieska. Planuję ją przesadzić później do ogrodu. Mam nadzieję, że za rok znowu zakwitnie.

  1. Very pretty! I bought some this year too. Right now I have them in planters in my front yard, but I'm going to plant them into soil later. They should come up year after year.

    1. No, unfortunately the oil is made of an evening primrose (oenothera in Latin) and it's a different plant.
There are many primroses in the world. My primrose is primula polyanthus; and primula vulgaris, for example, has many medicinal properties.
