Harvest Monday - peppers!

I never have time to follow the Harvest Monday with other bloggers, but this time I can show you my last pepper harvest. I mean, it's the final one because first frost is coming inexorably. 

Unfortunately, majority of peppers are unripe. 

Our cold and wet summer contributed to this 😞

This season I planted a few sweet and chili varieties. 

sweet:

-  Kapia

- Ratund

- Sweet Orange Baby

- Paradiscum Alaku Sarga Szentes

 

and chili:

- Basket of Fire

- Rawit

- NN long

In comparison to my last year's total pepper harvest - this year's was just next to nothing :(

Last year's was like a pepper feast! 

I hope the next season will be better :)

I like taking photos of harvested vegetables and fruits because such photos remind me of art, colourful, with juicy and vibrant shades, that's why when I have a time to do it, I always take a photo :)

This year I've been gradually harvesting various vegetables from the garden. I started from radishes,

The beginning of August was bad for us, because all of our tomatoes had been infected with blight, and we couldn't save them. I picked all green tomatoes, hoping they will mature at home. Unfortunately 90% of tomatoes were infected too, and they rot.

Początek sierpnia był dla nas pechowy, bo zaraza ziemniaczana zaatakowała wszystkie pomidory i nie udało nam się ich uratować. Zerwałam więc wszystkie zielone owoce, bo miałam nadzieję, że dojrzeją w domu. Niestety, ale większość jednak zgniła.





That day, I harvested also all young carrots and young beets, because I was redesigning the vegetable garden
Tamtego dnia zerwałam tez wszystkie młode buraczki i marchew, ponieważ musiałam przerobić trochę warzywnik.

Of course, more cucumbers and courgettes :)
Oczywiście, coraz więcej ogórków i cukinii :)

Next time I will show you what I have yet to harvest in the following month. Some peppers and pumpkins are almost ready :)
Następnym razem pokażę Wam co mam jeszcze do zebrania, bo niektóre papryki i dynie są już prawie gotowe :)

Mommy in the garden // Mama w ogrodzie

Being a mother who raises her children conditions e v e r y t h i n g . 

For me, as I like to spend the time in the garden on digging, planting, sowing and weeding - children decide on how much time I'm going to spend on each activity. That's why children fill my whole day, and when I want to do something productive in the garden, I have to introduce them to gardening by playing :) Of course, it's playing for them, for me it's just a necessary work I need to do.

What my son loves the most is playing with water, so he's always the first to water the plants :)

Dla mnie, osoby, która lubi spedzać czas w ogrodzie na kopaniu, sadzeniu, sianiu, plewieniu - to dzieci decydują ile czasu będę mogła poświęcić każdej z tych czynności. Czasami dzieci wypełniają cały mój dzień, więc aby móc zrobić coś produktywnego w ogrodzie, to muszę dzieciaki zaznajomić z zabawami ogrodowymi :) Tzn, dla nich to są zabawy, ale dla mnie są to rzeczy, które trzeba zrobić. 

Mój synek najbardziej uwielbia zabawy z wodą, więc zawsze jest pierwszy do podlewania :)

Harvests and collecting seeds // Zbiory i zbieranie nasion

At this time of year we still have some harvests and start collecting seeds for next year planting. 

Every time I go to the plot I always come back with some courgettes, cucumbers, beans and salad leaves.

In September I finally started harvesting sweet and hot peppers.

This was my first pepper harvest:

O tej porze roku ciągle jeszcze zbieramy owoce i warzywa oraz zaczynamy zbierać nasiona na przyszły rok.
Co pojadę na działkę, to wracam z cukiniami, ogórkami, fasolą czy liśćmi sałaty.

We wrześniu w końcu zaczęły się zbiory papryki ostrej i słodkiej.

Oto mój pierwszy zbiór :)

Many peppers need a dozen or so more sunny days to ripe

I have many different peppers this year, but I have fallen in love with this one below.
It made us wait very long to flower, I thought I wouldn't get any fruits.
I love this variety, it has dark, almost black leaves, and black, round peppers, which are hot even in a small state.

W tym roku mam wiele różnych papryk, ale zakochałam się w tej poniżej.
Co prawda z kwitnieniem kazała na siebie długo czekać i myślałam już, że nie doczekam się żadnych owoców, ale i tak
uwielbiam tę odmianę, ma ciemne, prawie czarne liście i czarne, okrągłe owoce, ktore są ostre nawet będąc malutkie.

I started collecting seeds. So far I collected seeds of beans, some flowers and some of the peppers.

Zaczęłam zbierać już nasiona. Jak dotąd zebrałam nasiona fasoli, niektórych kwiatów i papryk.

Garden is still full of flowers, majority of them are cosmoses and marigolds.

Ogród ciągle jest pełen kwiatów, większość z nich to kosmosy onętki, nagietki i aksamitki.

But this view is a reminder of autumn.. Yes, it's coming :)
